It is not ficsically responsible to place a 6 month halt in all oil drilling activities off shore in US waters. The ecconomic impact of such a knee jerk reaction is very bad. This bad ecconomic impact is made even worse by the current slowdown and large numbers of jobs lost. The impact is even harder on those who are seeing damage done to their coastline. Those with the most damage also are the ones who depend upon...  More >>

I have lived in Florida for 40 years and I am horrified by the imminent disaster of drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Please put a stop to the destruction of the environment -- destroying our natural resources, mammals, birds for the sake of having more oil is ridiculous. Can you imagine a world without birds, fish, dolphins, and clean beaches? I cannot and am sick about this spill in the Gulf. Florida residences do not...  More >>

I can't understand why, at the very least all the state government buildings aren't all solar equipped. And further, why a bill isn't passed to make it a law that all new building in the state be made self sufficient with solar panels. To the best of my recollection, the beginings of our...  More >>

During the February 24th - February 26th snow storm that hit in the capital region, our house was out of power for 3 days. I place a claim with the Department of Public Service but they were no help. They took my claim as a courtesy. My issue was with the response of NYSEG to our outage and information provided/updates. We called in out outage on Wednesday and was not evaluated/fixed until Friday. The information that...  More >>
