I'm writing to say that I think Rep. Joe Barton was in the right to say what he did. I don't think he should have been forced to apologize. He was not defending BP, their actions, or lack of actions. He was stating, correctly, that President Obama had overstepped his bounds by his administration practically forcing BP to setup the 20 billion dollar fund. I'm not defending BP either. Nancy Pelosi was off-track to say...  More >>

Measures to have Puerto Rico Statehood pass has failed three times in the past, and this measure is a simply a backdoor method to that goal. Why compromise the integrity and honor of the Congress and your own? Be honest with the American people and propose statehood for Puerto Rico following Constitutional Principles. If it passes - fine. If it does not - that's fine too. It is more important to maintain the...  More >>
My son is 6,and non-verbal with autism. He has the comprehension of a one year old. Imagine the trauma it was for him when he had to go to the dentist for the first time on Saturday. I don't think I'll ever forget the fear in his eyes or the sound of his screams; this was all just from being afraid of the examination and xrays. If you have your own children I'm sure you also feel it is your mission to make your child's...  More >>

I undestand that liability caps are a big talking point in some political circles. They point to huge jury awards as a reason to put caps in place shielding companies from excessive losses. In some ways they have a point, but blanket liability caps like the one in place that may sheild BP from having to pay for the cleanup their company is responsible for are using a sledgehammer where microsurgery is needed. They're...  More >>

Eric Holder and apparently President Obama want congress to tackle the issue of possibly modifying Miranda rights for suspected terrorists. This may be a needed issue being that we are "at war" with terrorism. Being "at war" with terrorism is another issue I am concerned about,...  More >>

I have a question?? I want to know how a person proves them self ? officially. How do you come to be in allegience with your government , IE trusted by , protected by, ... If I fearlessly stand in the face of all and represent myself as a supporter of my president and my government and do advise against rebellion with different view points to invoke or instill understanding or faith in. Then should I not have the same in...  More >>

During the February 24th - February 26th snow storm that hit in the capital region, our house was out of power for 3 days. I place a claim with the Department of Public Service but they were no help. They took my claim as a courtesy. My issue was with the response of NYSEG to our outage and information provided/updates. We called in out outage on Wednesday and was not evaluated/fixed until Friday. The information that...  More >>
