If you think Bush was bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. Obama is not only multiplying Bush's problems with the economy, but mismanaging defense and foreign affairs.

Whether the money comes to my district or not, waste is waste. If the government were spending money to build a statue of me in my neighborhood, that would be a waste.

Bill Clinton's impeachment was about lying in court, not sex. If the sex had been no big deal, Bill would not have found it necessary to lie about it. Obviously it was a big enough deal for Bill to have lied about it while under oath.

"The Presidency, not the President, is a reflection of the American people" To turn a phrase, horse hockey. The Presidency is represented by the President. Each one stamps himself on the office, and while in office carries it with them in their every word and action. The Presidency, and in fact every institution created by mankind, is a reflection of people. We need go no further than that to deflate Arianllyn's argument. On one hand arianllys says the office and not the man is important, and then on the other says that Bush has destroyed the office. That is contradictory.

"Iraqi prisons, guantanamo bay, waterboarding right here in the U S of A, warrant less searches, detaining without charge. " Three known terrorists were waterboarded, and all three had info on known, in progress terror plots. Those detained in Gitmo are enemy illegal combatants, they fight without uniform or responsibility for their actions. Why should they have more rights than legal combatants who wear uniforms, and who would be detained without question or trial for the duration of hostilities?

Why does pro choice always mean pro abortion? Isn't anti abortion, the choice to not abort, a choice?

It's not the government's place to force people to speak English. However, government business should be conducted in English. It's too expensive and time consuming to have to communicate everything in multiple languages. It's not too much to ask to have one common language.
